Virtually all tourists coming to Coraab experience a culture shock in one way or another. The local environment is dirty, harsh, and, for a number of species, downright hostile. Noticing this, a group of entrepreneurs from the ranks of retired mercenaries established the Rekkra agency in C'Ora. These so-called recruitors have then begun to offer their services as armed escorts, bodyguards and guides for visitors from distant worlds that did not know their way around the centropolis. Due to their low prices, anyone could afford their services. They have never been interested in competing with security guilds catering to the elite clients - their success rather came from their availability to the opposite end of the social ladder.
The entry requirements have never been particularly high for new recruitors. Basic knowledge of Coraabish and some experience in melee and gun-fighting would usually suffice. The low prices of their services pushed their wages to the brink of bare subsistence. Affluent - or paranoid - customers could therefore afford to hire several dozens of recruitors at once.
The local ordinance concerning the right to bear arms from 4205 Tu forbade recruitors and other similar private paramilitary troops to carry lethal arms of any type within the jurisdiction of C'Ora. The Rekkra agency adapted to the situation by renaming its stated business focus to "vermin street hunting with the assistance of a foreign expert".
