I learned about them from an ancient copy of the Abcayan min-log. I'm afraid to even imagine that these monsters could live and bite through our ree. -Warrchar

Race: mythical creature

Homeworld: supposedly Coraab

Era: Middle Dump

The old logs also call them dump demons or Parth'Rae, servants of blindness. No direct evidence has ever been found that would prove occurrence of Murots on Coraab. Yet there are still some superstitious traditionalists swearing that if Coraab were ever to be completely spoiled by foreign space cultures, the doomsday would come and Murots would creep out on the surface, devouring the entire civilization with their scary bellymouths. Regrettably, it is but a faulty misinterpretation of the ancient texts; the underground creatures allegedly guarded many mysteries of the Dump and devoured Zombs who failed to wake up on time, thus ensuring a more stable balance of power on the surface of Coraab. Searching for Murots remains a popular activity among fantasists and dreamers even today.

According to the contemporary description, Murot had prolegs attached to its nape for "walking" on cavern arches. It used its wiry hands to stuff food directly into its mouth located in the abdomen. Digestive juices of a Murot were told to be the strongest natural acid on Coraab; they corroded everything from mushy Dump sediments to the toughest Zombs.

It was Mango Mana himself who found a Murot lair once, according to his Great Bibapion. Further examinations of some captured specimen later showed they were only a strange offshoot of silicon troglodytes, a species related to vakants. Nevertheless, the tale had already been adopted by Ilokajish yach-drogs, who incorporated it into their scriptures before the scientist managed to publicly rebut the faulty presumption.
